Where to fill your sweet treat craving in downtown Oscoda

Oscoda is home to acres of beautiful shoreline. It seems only fitting the area has ample frozen treat offerings, as well. Whether you’re in the mood for gourmet scoops, lucious soft-serve or frozen yogurt, downtown has options for you.

Parkside Dairy at 106 E. Dwight Street has over 40 different flavors of premium hand-dipped ice cream, plus soft-serve, sundaes and piles of toppings — not to mention lactose-free and sugar-free options. Most recently, the business offered watermelon and lime Dole Whip, a vegan, dairy-free, gluten-free alternative with no cholesterol.

That’s not to say Parkside can’t dish out your favorite guilty pleasure. Past flavors of the shop, in addition to chocolate and vanilla, included chocolate peanut butter, coconut almond fudge, strawberry cheesecake and blueberry waffle cone.

The build-your-own-bowl concept is great for families with experimental little ones (or big ones!)
