With its wide-open waters, sandy shoreline, and easy access from town, Oscoda is a favorite launch point for anglers chasing everything from walleye and lake trout to salmon and steelhead. Mornings often start with the sun rising over the horizon, painting the lake in shades of gold, while boats head out from the mouth of the Au Sable River into the deep, cool waters beyond.
